“Horizon Series” 2006 version is a Shutter painting. The subject matter was the future of the city, which is doomed to sink due to global warming. Behind the “funny and lovely” look is its poisonous side.
A Taep'o-dong missile flies gracefully above Mt. Tsukuba and Nemo, the ex-star, has grown enormous, attacking humans. Utilizing the function of shutters, it reveals the scenery 100 years from now; Rocket bombs and chimneys disappear while only the forest and the open sky remain.
